Why I do what I do:
My passion has always been to help people better understand the connection between how they think and what they do. Sometimes our patterns of thinking have been impacted by what has happened to us. I want to help people not think that this is how life always has to be for them but to support them in exploring their goals for a different future and how to get there.
How I do it:
I utilize the theory and practical applications of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am proficient in utilizing this at a Low-intensity level and adding to my ability through further CBT training.
What I do:
As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (in training), I will help you to explore what has been going on for them in their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I try to provide a warm, empathetic space for my clients to feel safe enough to explore these areas together. Importantly, I will work collaboratively with you to identify and understand how life is for you now and what you want to be doing differently.
